Backyard Birds 5: Goldfinch

This is the fifth and final in the Backyard Birds series. As I've said about the other paintings, these were done as presents for my Grams. This one was for Christmas of '07. Luckily, I was able to visit her in Tennessee and give it to her myself and see her open it.
Sadly, she passed away on January 3, '08. She was my last grandparent, and had lived with us all through my sister's and my childhood and growing up.
I had more birds planned, such as a hummingbird and bluebird, but the series will end here, as I don't want to paint one that Grams won't see. These were for only you, Grams, I love you!
